IIDA South Florida Chapter hosts Design Mix 2019 “Peculiarium” at The Miami Scottish Rite

Sazoneros!! I've got another fabulous event to share with you today. Mark your calendars because TheInternational Interior Designer Association (IIDA) South Florida Chapter will host their 19th annual Design Mix on Saturday, March 30th, starting at 6 p.m. The event be held at Park Place at The Miami Scottish Rite. IIDA South Florida Chapter advocates for advancements in education, design excellence, legislation, leadership, accreditation and community outreach to increase the value and understanding of Interior Design as a profession. 

Design Mix is the organization’s signature event which raises funds to award scholarships to exemplary interior design students, legislation advocacy efforts, and continuing educational support to their practicing professionals. The focus of the event is to pair industry members with design firms in a joint mission to fabricate wearable garments made entirely out of interior finish materials provided by event sponsors. Pérez Art Museum Miami celebrates 35th Birthday!

Miami’s flagship art museum, Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), is turning 35 so the museum will be celebrating on Thursday, February 7th (5:00 to 9:00 p.m.), with a Free Community Night called Our Birthday, Your Party! Guests will enjoy a live performance by Millionyoung, a DJ set by Ray Milian and figure drawing sessions. This event celebrates PAMM’s unique history as a collecting institution with an ongoing commitment to diversity, presenting art from Latin America, the U.S. Latinx experience and the Caribbean, while looking toward the African diaspora.
