The Fourth Annual White Truffle Dinner at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne

Sazoneros! By now, you know that I love all things luxury so I thought I'd share an amazing culinary event with you today. Since October marked the peaks of truffle season in Italy, The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne is hosting their Fourth Annual White Truffle Dinner on Wednesday, November 13th. To celebrate these rare and highly coveted white truffle mushrooms, also known as the “Diamonds of the Kitchen,” Sommelier Jorge Mendoza, Executive Chef Clayton van Hooijdonk and special guest Fiorenzo Dogliani of Batasiolo SpA winery will present guests at The Ritz-Carlton with a six-course pairing menu of fine delicacies. Dogliani brings with him vertical vintage wines from past decades of the Crus of Barolo, sourced directly from the private library at Batasolio SpA, as well as a selection of white truffles freshly gathered from his homeland. JetBlue Airways hosts "Destination Saturdays" at HaVen Gastro-Lounge

Lately, I've been thinking of taking a little trip somewhere! That's why I got excited when I heard about this upcoming JetBlue Airways event in Miami. In case you haven't heard the news, JetBlue Airways will begin a new route service to Lima, Peru, on Thurs., Nov. 21st (a.k.a. MY BIRTHDAY!!!), offering daily nonstop flights from Ft. Lauderdale to Lima. To celeb rate this new route and the rich culinary scenes found in both cities, t he airline has tapped popular local chef Todd Erickson  of HaVen Gastro-Lounge to serve as South Florida's culinary ambassador in a "South Florida-Meets-Peru Chef Collaboration." His counterpart is one of Peru's most talented chefs, Pedro Miguel Schiaffino , who helms the kitchen at  MALABAR restaurant in Lima .
