Sazoneros! You may have seen my yoga tweets yesterday as I indulged in a day full of relaxation at The James Royal Palm Hotel in Miami Beach (1545 Collins Avenue). The newly renovated hotel invited me to the launch of their "De-stress Retreat" program which features an early morning yoga class taught by a nationally trained instructor called Andy Hermann (pictured on the right). Taught by yoga icon, Elena Brower , Hermann merges classic techniques with modern influences by integrating dance and movement poses to lead yogi’s to personal wellbeing. This was my first yoga class and I couldn't have asked for a more p erfect setting: the yoga deck was overlooking the ocean ! Beginners (like myself) and long-time practitioners are welcome so get ready to make new friends ! Th e class is being offered every Saturday from 9- 10 a.m. for $45 per perso n ( plus : reduced valet) . The fee covers your yoga mat, towel and fruit-infused spa water for the hour .

After three years of writing Miami Beats and Sazon , I needed to take a step back to find new inspiration and fabulous events to share with you. Thanks for patiently sticking by my side and continuing to support my sazón . The first event I'd like to share with you is titled Pulse 2.0: Late Night at The New World Symphony which is being held on Friday, January 18th, at 9:30 p.m. inside the New World Center . The event has been revamped and designed to integrate contemporary classical with electronica music. Miami-based DJ Sean Drake will be spinning lounge beats between two sets of classical music while world renowned soprano Elaine Alvarez will be singing works by Villa-Lobos and Gershwin. If you attend, you can expect to check out performers throughout the hall’s satellite stages where guests will be able to dance and socialize! Tickets to Pulse 2.0 are availab
