Dolores Cortés highlights the beauty of Miami Beach during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim

Before heading to this year's Dolores Cortés Swim Show, I participated in a "behind-the-scenes" tour of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim hosted by DHL. This was a wonderful experience for me because we had the opportunity to have an intimate interview with Mrs. Cortés before her show. Dolores was proud to be the only European designer showcasing her collection this year and she shared a little bit of her family history with us while recalling how her mother began the company in Spain back in the 1950's. It was truly inspirational to see how far their designs have evolved over time. The designer returned to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim this year with a "Miami Beach" inspired collection! The colors were spectacular and Dolores made sure to add hints of gold to every piece because she feels it gives every design a touch of elegance. I agree!! Check out my pictures below and enjoy Dolores's sexy bikinis, swimsuits and cover up dresses.

The pop of colors in this collection are definitely right on trend for the summer. There were lots of neon colors and cool mixed prints on the runway. Check out the AMAZING gold necklace on the left! This look immediately caught my attention and I love the way the bathing suit comes together in the abdomen to create a slimming effect. Although I tend to never wear jewelry when I hit the beach (my father says it's the easiest way to attract fish), I'd consider wearing the one on the left.

Thanks to DHL for giving me the opportunity to meet Dolores prior to the show and granting me exclusive access to the backstage area of the tent. These productions are definitely made possible by the global efforts of logistical experts like DHL! I loved seeing all of the work that goes into making the models look ready for the runway. Stay tuned for more coverage from Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim!
